About the Candidate

Chinese  dialects, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian, Filipino, Thai, or Vietnamese)
•           Fluent in English is a must
•           Bachelor Degree in any field from a reputable University/ Master’s Degree preferred
•           Fresh Graduates with no prior experience in the investment industry welcomed

About HOBA
HOBA Global Investors manages the HOBA Asia Fundamental Long Short Equity Master Fund, a hedge fund 
that aims to generate attractive risk-adjusted absolute returns. The Fund invests primarily in 
equity securities of companies that are headquartered or principally engaged in business in, 
generating a substantial portion of their revenues from, or substantially impacted by developments 
within Asia.

About the Principal
James Lee is the founder of HOBA Global Investors and the portfolio manager of HOBA Asia 
Fundamental Long Short Equity Fund. From 2011 to 2013, he was a research analyst at New York city- 
based Artio Global Investors, where he was responsible for Asia ex-Japan investments with peak 
assets of US$4 billion under the Artio International Fund. He launched his career at Janus Capital 
Group in Denver in 2007 and was an equity research associate of the Asia investment team from 2007 
until 2011.
Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Colorado College and studied at Waseda University,
Japan and Jonkoping International Business School, Sweden. Having grown up in Taiwan, he is fluent 
in Mandarin Chinese as well as English.
